1. Purpose of This Agreement

The Guardian Responsibilities Agreement outlines the expectations and obligations of all guardians whose children participate in the KOLO Girlz program. KOLO Girlz relies on honest, cooperative guardians to ensure that sponsored students receive consistent educational support and maintain strong academic performance.

2. Commitment to Truthful Information

Guardians must provide truthful, complete, and accurate information during the application process and throughout the student’s participation. This includes:

• Accurate household financial information.
• Authentic identification documents.
• Truthful statements during interviews or home visits.
• Accurate school and academic information.

Providing false information violates the Fraud & Misrepresentation Policy and may result in permanent disqualification.

3. Ensuring School Attendance

Guardians must ensure that the student attends school consistently and on time. This includes:

• Preparing the child for school daily.
• Ensuring transportation to and from school.
• Monitoring attendance and addressing issues immediately.
• Reporting extended absences to KOLO Girlz ambassadors.

Chronic absenteeism may result in suspension or removal from the program.

4. Cooperation with KOLO Girlz Staff

Guardians must cooperate fully with KOLO Girlz staff, ambassadors, and verification partners. Cooperation includes:

• Answering phone calls and messages promptly.
• Participating in interviews when requested.
• Allowing home visits when necessary.
• Providing requested documents on time.

Guardian non‑cooperation may result in suspension or removal.

5. Support for Academic Performance

Guardians must actively support the student’s academic progress. This includes:

• Encouraging homework and study time.
• Attending school meetings when possible.
• Monitoring academic performance.
• Submitting report cards each term.

Declining academic performance without valid reasons may affect program eligibility.

6. Proper Use of Sponsorship Benefits

KOLO Girlz sponsorship benefits must be used strictly for the student’s education. This includes:

• School fees and arrears.
• Uniforms, shoes, and school supplies.
• Transportation for school attendance.

Misuse of sponsorship benefits may result in removal from the program.

7. Reporting Changes in Household Circumstances

Guardians must report any significant changes in household circumstances, including:

• Changes in income or employment.
• Changes in guardianship or living arrangements.
• School transfers or relocation.
• Health issues affecting attendance.

Failure to report changes may affect program eligibility.

8. Protection of KOLO Girlz Staff & Ambassadors

Guardians must treat KOLO Girlz staff, ambassadors, and partners with respect. Threats, harassment, or intimidation will result in immediate removal and possible reporting to authorities.

9. Prohibition of Fraud

Guardians must not engage in any form of fraud, including:

• Submitting forged documents.
• Misrepresenting financial need.
• Using another child’s identity.
• Coaching the child to lie during interviews.

Fraud results in permanent disqualification from KOLO Girlz programs.

10. Agreement to Program Rules

Guardians agree to follow all KOLO Girlz policies, including:

• Program Participation Rules
• Removal & Suspension Policy
• Fraud & Misrepresentation Policy
• Data Privacy Policy

11. Acknowledgment

By participating in KOLO Girlz, guardians acknowledge that they understand and agree to all responsibilities outlined in this agreement. Failure to comply may result in suspension or removal from the program.
