2. Age Requirements

Applicants must be girls between the ages of 5 and 17 at the time of application. This age range covers early primary through junior and senior secondary school.

3. Academic Performance

KOLO Girlz supports students who demonstrate above‑average academic performance. Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Maintain a GPA equivalent to 3.0 or higher (or local grading equivalent).
• Rank within the top 25% of their class.
• Demonstrate strong academic potential as verified by teachers or school administrators.

Report cards, transcripts, or official school performance records must be submitted during the application process.

4. Financial Need

KOLO Girlz is designed for girls whose families face financial hardship that affects consistent school attendance. Applicants must demonstrate at least one of the following:

• Tuition arrears or inability to pay school fees.
• Lack of essential school supplies (uniform, books, shoes, etc.).
• Transportation challenges preventing regular attendance.
• Household food insecurity affecting school participation.
• Guardian unemployment or unstable income.

5. Vulnerability Indicators

Additional priority is given to girls facing social or household vulnerabilities, including:

• Single‑parent households.
• Orphaned or semi‑orphaned children.
• Living with extended family or non‑parent guardians.
• Girls at risk of dropping out due to household instability.
• Girls living in rural or underserved communities.

6. School Enrollment Status

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited school in Liberia. KOLO Girlz verifies enrollment with the school administration before approval.

7. Attendance Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate consistent school attendance. Chronic absenteeism without valid reasons may result in disqualification.

8. Guardian Cooperation

A guardian or responsible adult must be willing to:

• Provide truthful information.
• Participate in interviews or verification checks.
• Ensure the child attends school regularly.
• Communicate changes in household circumstances.
